Florida is in the finals for the first time since 1996. After entering the playoffs as the lowest seed in the East, the Panthers pulled off a massive upset in the first round, knocking out the Bruins in seven games. They followed that by dismantling the Leafs in five games in the second round and sweeping the Hurricanes in the conference finals.
Vegas is also making its first Stanley Cup Final appearance in club history since 2018, its inaugural season in the league. The Golden Knights needed just five games to breeze by the Jets in Round 1, then defeated the Oilers in six games in the second round. The Golden Knights held off a comeback attempt by the Stars in the Western Conference Final, winning in six games.
