The St. Louis Blues on Wednesday announced that goaltender Jordan Binnington will face pop star Justin Bieber in an on-ice breakaway competition — but the where and the when of it all still has yet to be determined.

Binnington originally issued a publicly challenge to Bieber  on Jan. 1 in response to a series of videos the musician posted of him playing recreational hockey on Instagram.

"10 breakaways me vs. you," Binnington commented on one video. "You score on me I'll dye my hair platinum blonde @justinbieber."

Bieber's videos iincluded a game of shinny with Toronto Maple Leafs players Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and Tyson Barrie and showed off some skill — he even scores a nice backhand goal in one of them, which prompted Binnington to challenge the pop star in the comments.

"How bout 10 thousand dollars to charity I score and you donate to a charity of my choice and we film it," Bieber responded to Binnington's initial challenge in another Instagram post.

Budweiser Canada got in on the action by offering to double Bieber's $10,000 charity donation if the two go toe-to-toe during the NHL's All-Star Weekend in St. Louis, which Binnington will conveniently participate in as part of the Central Division's roster.

According to NHL.com's latest update, that situation doesn't seem likely. The two sides have yet to determine where and when the event will happen, as well as what charity will benefit from the two stars' efforts — though the Blues said it's most likely to happen during the NHL offseason.

Bieber's 2020 concert tour takes him to St. Louis' Enterprise Center on July 13 — stay tuned.
