Does Ryan Hartman know he's been traded?
The Flyers sent the forward to the Stars in exchange for Tyler Pitlick on Monday, but there's one problem — Hartman's mom said her son was in the dark about the trade. Hartman announced over the weekend he was going "off the grid" until Saturday, meaning he has all technology turned off.

"Ryan is in a remote area in Canada fishing with no phones. So he does not know about the trade," Kim Hartman told BarDown.com.

However, Hartman shared an update Saturday on Twitter: "For everyone wondering, I’ve had constant communication via satellite phone with my agent throughout this whole process."

The Stars did not give Hartman a qualifying offer and he will become a free agent the beginning of July, according to a report from The Athletic.
The team does still plan on negotiating with Hartman, the report noted.
The Stars didn't give a qualifying offer to Ryan Hartman, meaning he's now a UFA on July 1. They also plan to negotiate with him still about signing.

Hartman, 24, was sent to the Flyers from the Predators before the February trade deadline. He combined to score 12 goals with the two teams in 83 games.
The Stars will be the fourth team in the last year and a half Hartman has been with — he was traded from the Blackhawks to the Predators before the 2018 trade deadline.
