New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, fittingly nicknamed "King Henrik," continued his ascension to the top of the NHL's all-time wins list with his 446th career victory Saturday night in Boston.
Lundqvist, who has played his entire career with New York, made 27 saves to break a tie with Hockey Hall of Famer and former Rangers goalie Terry Sawchuk to take sole possession of sixth place all time.
In addition to moving into sole possession of sixth place on the NHL's all-time wins list (446), Henrik Lundqvist is also the first goaltender in NHL history who has earned at least 15 wins in each of his first 14 NHL seasons (2005-06 – 2018-19). #NYR

The Swedish netminder reached the milestone in his 840th career regular-season game. Sawchuk achieved the mark in 971 games (eight games, three wins with New York). Lundqvist is now one game away from tying winger Vic Hadfield for seventh on the Rangers' all-time regular-season appearance list (skaters and goaltenders included).
Mika Zibanejad netted two goals, including the game-winner with 9:05 left in the third, and Lundqvist made 12 saves in the third period to secure the 3-2 win. Of his 446 wins, 28 have come against Boston.
Next on the all-time wins list in former Toronto Maple Leafs and St. Louis Blues backstop Curtis Joseph with 454 career wins. Martin Brodeur, who was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in November, sits atop the list with 691, with Patrick Roy (551), Ed Belfour (484) and Roberto Luongo (480), who is adding to his win total with the Florida Panthers, rounding out the top five.
