Jaromir Jagr is still a points machine at age 44.
The Florida Panthers' future Hall of Famer is tied for No. 2 on the all-time points list after a three-assist night Tuesday against the Buffalo Sabres.
Jagr and Mark Messier each have 1,877 points. Incredibly, both are nearly 1,000 points behind Wayne Gretzky, who had 2,857 over 1,487 games.

“I always wanted to play for the fans, score goals and make great plays so they would come to the game and enjoy it," Jagr said (via Miami Herald) after the game referring to the fans' appreciation of the achievement. “They appreciate that.”
The breakdown for Jagr's points total is 755 goals (third all-time behind Gretzky and Gordie Howe) and 1,132 assists (sixth) in 1,662 games.
Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo also reached a notable career milestone, moving into a tie with Terry Sawchuck for fifth on the NHL’s all-time win list with 447.
Florida defeated Buffalo 4-3 in a shootout.
