Two days after losing out on their top choice Kelly McCrimmon, the Edmonton Oilers have reportedly offered Ken Holland a contract to become their next general manager.
As first reported by Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the deal is worth $25 million over five years.
Reported by @FriedgeHNIC , Oilers offer to Holland believed to be 5 x $5 M. Ball is firmly in Holland’s court. Would expect a decision shortly.

Holland just completed his 22nd season as GM of the Detroit Red Wings winning three Stanley Cups and four Presidents' Trophies in that time. He signed a new contract in April and was promoted to senior vice president to make room to hire Steve Yzerman as the new general manager.
The decision is now up to Holland. If he declines, Sportsnet reports the Oilers' remaining finalists are Mark Hunter, Keith Gretzky and Sean Burke.
