The Golden Knights rolled over the Oilers on Monday night in Game 3, taking a 2-1 series lead into Game 4.

Edmonton played by far its worst game of the postseason, losing 5-1 to fall behind in the second-round series yet again.

"Not good enough, not good enough in any way," Oilers head coach Jay Woodcroft said on his team's performance in Game 3. "I didn't think we skated well, I didn't think we were hard enough in certain areas and to a man, not our finest hour in any way."

Vegas overcame the loss of goaltender Laurent Brossoit in the first period to deliver a resounding win on the road. Adin Hill stepped into the crease in relief, and delivered a 24-save performance, shutting out the potent Oilers' offense.

"Guys are even more alert about how to play because you don’t want to hang (Hill) out to dry," Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy said on his team's play in front of Hill. "He’s a good teammate and he’s been great for us all year. I thought they played the right way to allow him to get a feel for the game, and it worked out well for us again."

The Golden Knights have a chance to go up 3-1 with a victory on Wednesday night in Edmonton. Meanwhile, the Oilers are aiming to bounce back and tie the series up 2-2.
