The Hurricanes are making some moves to help out their scoring.
Vegas has traded winger Erik Haula to the Hurricanes for prospect Nicolas Roy and a conditional 2021 fifth-round pick, the Golden Knights announced Wednesday.

Haula, 28, scored just two goals in 15 games for Vegas last year, but two years ago he scored 29 in 76 games as the Golden Knights went to the Stanley Cup Final in the first year in franchise history.
It has long been asked whether the Hurricanes would start to improve their scoring up front while moving some men off the blue line, as well, and that has happened over the last few days.
First, Carolina dealt defenseman Calvin de Haan and a minor-league forward to the Blackhawks for defenseman Gustav Forsling and goaltender Anton Forsberg.
And now, the team has picked up Haula in a deal for Roy, 22, who has yet to score a point in limited time over two seasons with the Hurricanes.
Carolina surpassed all expectations this postseason by earning a trip to the Eastern Conference finals, but the team isn't going to be content with that, as it is making moves to try to put itself in a better position to go deeper in the playoffs next year.
Haula could be the player to do that with the propensity he showed for scoring goals two years ago.
Carolina was great last season at preventing goals, finishing tied for seventh with the Lightning in goals allowed with 221, but it was only so-so in scoring, as it finished 16th in goals scored with 243.
