Matt Calvert meant to do that.
Bearing down on a breakaway, the Blue Jackets forward was in perfect position to tie Saturday's Game 5 against the Capitals at 2-all. He picked his spot — blocker high on a waiting Braden Holtby — and went to release a quick wrister from the slot. Except, he embarrassingly whiffed on the puck, then pulled off the greatest feat of improvisation you'll ever see.

The whiff served as an accidental deke, Holtby committed hard to the shot and, somehow, Calvert maintained possession of the puck to pull off a spin-o-rama to the other side of the crease. The two crashed into the net, and the puck crossed the line.
Ray Ferraro's call on the goal, scored 4:45 into the second period, perfectly summed up the move, which definitely deserves a name.
“That is the worst move I have ever seen on a breakaway, and it’s now 2-2.”

Calvert also scored the Blue Jackets' first goal in the first period — bringing his playoff total to three in five games.
