Playoffs are a time for players to make a name for themselves.

Whether it's a star player stepping up in the bright lights, or an unlikely hero emerging from the shadows, there are always plenty of notable performances. 

It's still extremely early in the 2023 NHL playoffs, with the first-round matchups currently underway in the postseason. However, there have been a few players who jump off the bat right away. 

Here is a look at the point leaders for the 2023 Stanley Cup playoffs.

The stars have been shining so far in the first round. 

Stars center Roope Hintz continues to be one of the more underrated players. He has stepped up, especially with the absence of Joe Pavelski, and leads the postseason in points. 

Right those him are Oilers star Leon Draisaitl and Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner.
