After 10 teams and 13 NHL seasons, Lee Stempniak has officially hung up his skates.
Last season, the former 2003 fifth-round pick of the St. Louis Blues skated in only two games with the Boston Bruins and four with Providence (AHL) after signing a deal in late February. He played his final game on March 10 in Pittsburgh.
Stempniak wraps up his career with 911 games, 203 goals and 266 assists. While his numbers will never garner his entry into the Hockey Hall of Fame, he's definitely had an interesting career.
10 NHL teams
Not many have played for more NHL teams. In fact, it's only one — former Blues teammate Mike Sillinger, who played for 12 organizations. Tied with 11 others who have suited up for 10 teams, Stempniak has quite the jersey collection, especially when you consider home, roads and alternates.

Led St. Louis Blues in goals
After netting 27 points in 57 games his rookie season, Stempniak went on on a tear in 2006-07 for the Blues. At just 24 years of age, the Dartmouth University alum led St. Louis in goals (27) and finished second in points (52). Those numbers marked the peak of his career, although he did have 51 points in 2015-16 split between New Jersey and Boston.
(Editor's note: Technically, Bill Guerin led the team in goals with 28, but he was traded in February of 2007.)
Made Winnipeg Jets history
Traded north of the border in March of 2015, Stempniak made history when he netted the first Stanley Cup playoff goal in Winnipeg since 1996. The lone goal in four playoff games for him that postseason, Stempniak buried the rebound and sent the whiteout into a tizzy. He only skated in 22 games (18 regular season), but he will forever live in Jets lore.
