Connor McDavid is as can't-miss as can't-miss gets when it comes to prospects. But don't tell that to Dylan Strome, McDavid's teammate on the OHL's Erie Otters for the last two seasons. He'd give the first-overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft a 77-overall rating in NHL '16.
EA Sports had NHL rookies guess the ratings of their teammates (some past, some present) for this year's edition of the Hockey Ultimate Team, with those two headlining. McDavid gave Strome, selected third by the Coyotes, a little more credit, propping him up as an "81, 82", but said his skating should be no higher than a 70 — "maybe 75, and that's pushing it." They had them flipped; McDavid is actually an 82, Strome a 77.

Brendan Perlini, taken 12th-overall by the Coyotes in 2014, comes in as a 75.
"There's always next year to get to 100, you know?" he said.
