As the Edmonton Oilers look to hold onto first place in the Pacific Division, they'll have to do so without goaltender Mike Smith, who was listed as day to day Sunday with a leg injury.
The 37-year-old netminder suffered the injury in the team's 5-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday and is not in the lineup for Sunday's rematch against them. Mikko Koskinen will start instead, and the Oilers recalled goaltender Stuart Skinner from the AHL's Bakersfield Condors under emergency conditions to fill in for Smith.

Through 15 games this season, Smith is 7-7-1 with a 2.83 goals-against average and .907 save percentage. Koskinen is 9-2-0 with a 2.55 GAA and .920 save percentage, also through 15 games.
In addition to Smith, Oilers forward Zack Kassian is day to day with a back injury, while defenseman Kris Russell has traveled home for the birth of his second child. Neither player will be available vs. the Canucks on Sunday.
Skinner, 21, boasts a 3.23 GAA and .890 save percentage through 15 games for Bakersfield.
