New York Rangers forward Mika Zibanejad suffered an upper-body injury in Sunday's game against the Boston Bruins after receiving a high hit from Patrice Bergeron. Head coach David Quinn reported after the team's practice on Monday the veteran is day-to-day and "feels better."
Zibanejad missed Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Lightning and is expected to miss Saturday's contest in Nashville, according to the New York Post's Larry Brooks.
Late in the first period, Bergeron was going for the puck near the half boards, and as Zibanejad came toward him, Bergeron checked the 26-year-old up high with his shoulder that appeared to make contact with the neck/jaw area of the Ranger forward.

Zibanejad would return to the ice for another shift before heading to the locker room. The team later declared him out for the rest of the contest.
Mika Zibanejad has an upper-body injury and will not return to the game tonight for the Rangers. He was hit hard by Patrice Bergeron late in the first period and was slow to get up. He did play one more shift, but now he's out for the rest of the game.
