Jordan Eberle won't be testing the free-agent market anytime soon.

The Islanders announced Friday they've agreed to terms on a five-year deal with the 29-year-old forward. TSN reported Eberle's contract with New York is worth $27.5 million with an average annual value of $5.5 million.

Eberle, 29, was due to hit free agency July 1. The 2008 first-round pick has scored 44 goals in 159 games over the last two seasons with the Islanders. He was acquired via trade from the Oilers in June 2017 in exchange for Ryan Strome.

The Regina, Saskatchewan, native has been named an NHL All-Star twice, in 2010-11 and in 2011-12.
