PITTSBURGH — For a split-second, Jay Beagle was the best goalie on the Capitals' roster.

The forward made a sliding stick save early in overtime against the Penguns that saved his team's season. WIthout him, Pittsburgh scores, and the Capitals' season is over right then. It ended up being over shortly after that. Nick Bonino scored the winner 6:32 into overtime.

Washington had rallied from a 3-1 third-period deficit, aided by the Penguins' boneheadery, to force the extra period. Hornqvist's shot was the Penguins' third attempt of the sequence.
Beagle's save extended the Capitals' season for a just a little while longer, and it's a still a pretty spectacular play regardless of the eventual outcome.
