The Cubs' World Series championship hopes were on ice for more than 108 years. Now, their triumph is honored on the ice across town.

The Blackhawks really went all out, and the Cubs' logo projected onto the faceoff circles is a pretty sweet touch. Kyle Schwarber, Mike Montgomery and Jason Heyward featured their special guest, the Commissioner's Trophy.

The mutual respect of the Cubs and the Blackhawks isn't anything new, however. In 2015, the Cubs played a Blackhawks' game on Wrigley's video board during a rain delay. The Blackhawks would go on to win the Stanley Cup, their third in six years.
We're certain that the Cubs are hoping that the Blackhawks' success — and puck luck — transfers to the diamond.
