The Jets walked out of Bell MTS Place on Friday night with more than just a 4-3 win against the Wild. They walked out with a pair of milestones, too.
The Jets were tied 3-3 with the Minnesota Wild late in the third period, and neither team seemed close to breaking the deadlock.
With 6:46 left in the third period, forward Blake Wheeler caught a pass in the center of the ice from Kyle Connor before backhanding the puck past Wild goalie Devan Dubnyk to break the tie and eventually give the Jets the win.

The goal was not only Wheeler's first of the season, but his 200th career NHL goal.

Wheeler ties Ottawa's Alexander Burrows, who scored his 200th goal on Thursday, at No. 45 on the list of most gols scored among active NHL players. Jaromír Jágr leads that list with 765 goals.
The win also marked head coach Paul Maurice's 600th career NHL win.
