The hype around Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is real.
Sunday stressed that well enough at the team’s first open training camp practice of the summer.
Reporters at the scene as early as an hour before practice started, such as the Washington Post’s Nicki Jhabvala, captured footage of massive lines that wrapped around the parking lot.
Granted, while Daniels has looked fantastic from afar, there is plenty for fans to be excited about coming out of a 4-13 campaign. New head coach Dan Quinn brought along a notable offensive coordinator in Kliff Kingsbury and hyped second-round pick Jer'Zhan Newton has been medically cleared to practice earlier than expected.
It’s mostly the Daniels show, though, especially given the footage fans have seen since camp started and some of the Caleb Williams comparisons that have made the rounds.
