The Tennessee Titans are currently trying to figure out if Will Levis is their long-term solution at the quarterback position, but through four games things are not looking good.
Levis leads the league in turnovers, and those turnovers have cost the Titans a few games en route to a 1-3 start to the campaign. If things keep going the way they're going, Tennessee could be looking for another quarterback in 2025.
With that in mind, Sporting News' Vinnie Iyer believes the Titans will move on from Levis and predicts they will draft Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft, with the pick coming at No. 7 overall. Here's Iyer's thoughts:
"Sanders has faded just a little with some maturity concerns playing under his father," Iyer wrote. "The shine of the Buffaloes' program has dimmed, but the physical talent and downfield passing would still get him a look for QB-needy teams, which the Titans are headed to be with Will Levis not looking like the answer."
Sanders is quite the polarizing prospect for all the reasons Iyer just laid out. He has all the physical tools to succeed at the next level, but some feel he isn't worthy of a selection this high.
In case you were wondering, both Alabama's Jalen Milroe and Miami's Cam Ward came off the board in the picks before Tennessee's, which makes Sanders the third quarterback selected in Iyer's mock.
If the Levis experiment fails and the Titans are faced with a situation in which they can add a potential difference-maker like Sanders, Tennessee would be hard-pressed to pass up on such an opportunity.
However, if Levis does enough to make the Titans want to stick with him, it will open up several possibilities for general manager Ran Carthon, who could add a wideout, edge rusher or even another offensive lineman in the first round.
