The Tennessee Titans finally secured the first win of head coach Brian Callahan's career with a 31-12 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Monday night. And, in the process, Tennessee achieved something it wasn't able to do in over 1,000 days.
If you think it's been a while since you've seen the Titans score 30 points, you'd be 100% correct. The last time Tennessee scored 30 points or more in a game was in Week 17 of the 2021 campaign when, interestingly enough, they dropped 34 on Miami. It has been a whopping 1,002 days since that contest.
The 30 points are a bit misleading in terms of Tennessee's overall performance on offense. 15 of those points came from the leg of Nick Folk, and the Titans didn't score their first touchdown until the third quarter. Tony Pollard scored the final touchdown, but it was gifted by a Miami penalty.
The #Titans have scored 30+ points! It's been 1002 days since the last time they did so. How about that?

The Titans' first 30-point game in nearly three full seasons didn't come with Will Levis under center, though. The Kentucky product injured his shoulder in the first half while diving for a first down and never returned.
Mason Rudolph closed out the game but didn't need to do much, with the veteran signal-caller completing 9-of-17 passes for just 85 yards. He did, however, take care of the football, something Levis once again wasn't able to do after tossing a pick on the first drive of the game. The former second-round pick was 3-of-4 for 25 yards and the interception before exiting.
Just in case you were wondering if the Titans might go to Rudolph, that won't be happening. Head coach Brian Callahan revealed Tennessee will stick with Levis, assuming he's healthy enough to play next week.
The good news for Levis' shoulder is that the Titans will have a bye in Week 5 before they prepare for their first divisional matchup of the 2024 campaign in a Week 6 tilt against the Indianapolis Colts in Nashville.
