Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is the man of the moment. He turns 31 years old on August 21. His teammates did not let the day pass without honoring him with a cake at practice, before "pieing" him with it.

Evans, the seventh overall pick by the Bucs in the 2014 NFL Draft, will end his career as one of the best to ever put on a Buccaneers uniform. Evans holds 13 franchise records including most receiving rookie and career touchdowns. He is the only NFL player to start his career with 10 consecutive seasons of more than 1,000 yards.
He continues to chase football immortality with new records that could potentially be broken in 2024. Evans needs 1,000 receiving yards in 2024 to tie record holder Jerry Rice with 11 consecutive seasons of 1,000 or more yards. If he nets 1,320 receiving yards, he will be the sixth player to ever have 13,000 receiving yards in his first 11 seasons. Legends Jerry Rice, Marvin Harrison, Torrey Holt, Julio Jones, and Randy Moss are the others.
Evans has 94 career touchdowns. If he catches six touchdowns in 2024, he will become the fifth NFL player to have 100 touchdown receptions in his first 11 seasons joining the elite company of Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison, and Terrell Owens.
Mike Evans is under contract with the Bucs through the 2025 season. Fans hope that he plays his entire career in Tampa Bay with 2025 not being the end of what will certainly be a Hall of Fame career.
