Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield is going to have a difficult weekend. As if dealing with the 2-1 competitive Philadelphia Eagles team is not enough after a blistering loss to Denver in Week 3 is not bad enough, ex-Bucs quarterback Tom Brady will be back in town.
Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield: “You have to prepare like you’re playing a playoff game every week or else this can happen. We got our asses kicked — physicality-wise, execution-wise, all over the board for us. It’s a good lesson for our team, for the young guys who haven’t seen… pic.twitter.com/yUf8POO4Y2

Brady is part of the FOX crew covering the Eagles vs. Buccaneers game. It is his first trip to Tampa Bay this season. Of course, he has seen and heard Baker Mayfield's comments about Brady after the Bucs' Week 2 win over Detroit.

Mayfield described a Bucs team that was stressed out under Brady. In contrast, Mayfield describes the current team as happier and easier-going as a result of his personality. While Mayfield's comments are consistent with the two quarterbacks' contrasting styles, it did not make sense for Mayfield to utter them in public. Brady took the Bucs to a Super Bowl and won the game during challenging COVID-19 conditions. Mayfield's resume does not contain those achievements.
Will Brady acknowledge the proverbial elephant in the room during the FOX broadcast? He might. Brady is the consummate professional who can address it with class but get his point across.
The Eagles, Brady, and perhaps the aftereffects of Tropical Storm (and potential hurricane) Helene could be problematic for Mayfield. Rain is forecasted for the Tampa Bay area from Wednesday through Sunday.
TROPICAL UPDATE: Tropical Storm Helene is getting stronger and is forecast to become a hurricane sometime today. Then, it'll rapidly strengthen into a major hurricane by Thursday.

Mayfield has his work cut out for him in Week 4. Can he lead the Bucs back to their winning ways?
