The Seattle Seahawks are still pretty beat up by injuries, but they're on a long week and appear to be getting at least a little bit healthier. The team just announced a pair of roster moves that suggest so, anyway.
Specifically, the Seahawks just designated second-year safety Jerrick Reed II to return from the PUP list, where he's been all season. As a rookie Reed was a standout on special teams, but he only played 10 games before his year ended early due to an ACL tear. Reed now has 21 days to be activated to the roster.
We haven't seen enough of him at safety yet to make any judgment, but Reed should at least give a boost to special teams unit that's been struggling outside of punter Michael Dickson and kick returner Laviska Shenault.
Seattle also re-signed offensive lineman McClendon Curtis, who they poached off the Las Vegas Raiders' practice squad last year. Curtis was waived from the 53-man roster last week but he's rejoining the team on the practice squad. He has appeared in five games with the Seahawks over the last two seasons, but has only but on the field for 23 special teams snaps.
