During the Legion of Boom years the Seattle Seahawks had a plethora of incredibly talented and unique athletes on their team. That was especially true on defense, where they led the league in fewest points allowed four straight years at their peak from 2012-2015. The leader of that unit was strong safety Kam Chancellor, a throwback to another era of smashmouth safeties like Kenny Easley and Sean Taylor.
Chancellor was once described as a "lion" in a locker room full of alpha dogs by former Seahawks All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman, serving as an enforcer both on and off the field. These days Chancellor is delighting residents of the PNW in a much different way, by running a popular restaurant and sports bar with Sherman called Legion Sports Bar in downtown Bellevue, replete with "elevated" bar food.

During his playing career Chancellor made four Pro Bowl teams and helped lead the Seahawks to a Super Bowl win in 2013. A serious neck injury he suffered midway through the 2017 season forced him to retire from the NFL early.
