Seattle Seahawks final 53-man roster projections going into the 2024 NFL season image

Our last 53-man roster projection for the Seattle Seahawks came after their second preseason game, a loss nine days ago against the Tennessee Titans. At this time of the NFL calendar year that may as well have been eons ago, because a lot has changed for this franchise since then, including several injuries and multiple trades made by general manager John Schneider.

The latest just came in this morning, as Seattle is sending a late-round pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for edge rusher Trevis Gipson in the wake of Uchenna Nwosu's injury on Saturday night. Among the changes from our last projection are Gipson making the cut near the bottom of the edge rotation, Dee Eskridge pushing out Dareke Young at wide receiver after a standout game against the Browns and rookie cornerback D.J. James sneaking back onto the roster thanks to Artie Burns' injury.

In addition to Nwosu being out for a bit, we also have right tackle Abe Lucas and second-year safety Jerrick Reed II starting the season on the PUP list. Here are our updated projections for the team's initial 53-man roster going into final cuts.
