We learned a lot about the Seattle Seahawks in last night's 42-29 loss to the Detroit Lions. For one thing, it's tough to win a football game without your entire starting defensive line, by we already knew that going in. However, just how hopeless Seattle would be without Uchenna Nwosu, Boye Mafe, Byron Murphy and Leonard Williams did come as a bit of a surprise. The Lions offense dominated from start to finish, while head coach Mike Macdonald couldn't seem to find any answers for what Ben Johnson was doing.
Nevertheless, the Seahawks proved that they won't go down easy. After falling behind 14-0 they played Detroit even for the rest of the game. Here's what Macdonald said about his team's effort after the game, according to Gregg Bell at the Tacoma News Tribune.

The Seahawks are on a short week after playing Monday night, but they are getting a relatively soft landing after such a tough matchup. Next up they host the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon. After that, they only get a three-day break before they play the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night, in what will be their most-significant game of the season to date.
