Russell Wilson is ready for a new start.

After a wildly successful run with the Seattle Seahawks to start his career, Wilson’s second chapter with the Denver Broncos was quite a mess, and ultimately ended with his release.

Now set to start for the Pittsburgh Steelers on a veteran’s minimum deal, Wilson says he feels rejuvenated as he writes the next page of his story.

"Man, I feel the fountain of youth," Wilson said at Steelers camp on Tuesday. "I feel revived in every way, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. I feel confident. I think at some point you have to know who you are as a player, as a man, as a competitor. As somebody who's been fortunate to be able to play this game, I don't doubt it. I trust it. I felt really good last year playing. I felt really confident in the midst of everything. And so I think right now I have all that confidence times 10."

Despite the struggles he went through last year, Wilson is still the most solid starting quarterback the Steelers have had heading into a year since the departure of Ben Roethlisberger.

With head coach Mike Tomlin recently signed to a three-year extension that will keep him in Pittsburgh through 2027, Steelers fans are hoping that Wilson’s first year with the team is the start of a new era.
