The Pittsburgh Steelers' offense has been a disappointment through fives games of the 2024 season, but quarterback Justin Fields and tight end Pat Freiermuth have managed to be productive for fantasy football owners.
Fields had his second-lowest passing yards output last week, but was still able to put up a respectable fantasy showing thanks to a pair of passing touchdowns and 27 rushing yards to go with his 131 yards through the air.
Meanwhile, Freiermuth didn't do much in the passing game with just 22 yards, but he did account for one of Fields' touchdown passes to make up for it. He now has one touchdown reception in each of his last two games.
Are we rolling Freiermuth and Fields out in fantasy football lineups when the Steelers take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 6? Here are our verdicts.
Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Week 6: Justin Fields
The Raiders have been fairly giving to quarterbacks, with Las Vegas ceding the 12th-most fantasy points per game to the position. The Raiders' defense has also been ravaged by injuries, with the latest victim being star defensive lineman Christian Wilkins, which will hurt the interior pass-rush.
Fields is certainly deployable, but keep an eye on the situation in Pittsburgh because Russell Wilson appears to be fully healthy and ready to play and it's possible the Steelers go to him after two losses in a row.
But if Fields plays, you're starting him.
Verdict: Start 'Em
Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Week 6: Pat Freiermuth
Through five weeks, Freiermuth quietly ranks as TE7 overall, which makes him an every-week starting option for the time being. Admittedly, he's not in a great situation, but he's done enough to be an effective fantasy asset.
The matchup with the Raiders isn't the best one possible, but it isn't bad, either, as Las Vegas' defense is a middle-of-the-road unit when it comes to giving up fantasy points to tight ends. Put Muth in your lineup in Week 6.
Verdict: Start 'Em
