FanDuel listed the Pittsburgh Steelers as its surprise 2024 contender with Justin Fields as the pictured quarterback, and fans had plenty of reactions. Most seemed to indicate that they disagreed with FanDuel's prediction, and some thought FanDuel selected the wrong quarterback.

One fan predicted the Steelers will go 7-10 at best; while others recommended who they believed were the surprise contender. The Tennessee Titans, Washington Commanders, Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Chargers, and Las Vegas Raiders were considered better options.
Another fan wanted to confirm that FanDuel was talking about 2024 and not 2004, seemingly indicating that the Steelers are not what they used to be in the Ben Roethlisberger era.
Here is a crazy thought: maybe FanDuel isn't off base with its prediction. The Steelers have an intriguing quarterback competition between Russell Wilson and Justin Fields; both are perceived to be more prepared to run the offense than Kenny Pickett was. The Steelers compete in an extremely tight AFC North division with no real frontrunner between themselves, Ravens, Browns, and Bengals. The four teams play each other tough no matter how "good" their teams are on paper.
