There was a bit of bitterness floating through the Buffalo Bills locker room Sunday after a 41-25 loss to the New England Patriots, which led to linebacker Zach Brown offering one of the more eye-popping observations from the game.
“I’m more impressed with [Martellus] Bennett than Gronk,” Brown said, via the Boston Globe. “When Tom Brady wasn’t here, you didn’t hear [Gronkowski]. But when Tom Brady comes back he knows where to place it, how to place it, and he uses Gronk’s size to his advantage.

"As far as blocking, no, I do not think he’s one of the best. Bennett is probably a better blocker.”
Brown would know better than most. As a linebacker, he's often lined up opposite one of the Patriots' physical tight ends, so he gets a first-hand experience.

With that being said, Gronkowski hauled in five passes for 109 yards and a 53-yard touchdown in the second quarter. The touchdown was the 69th of his career, which is good for the Patriots' touchdown record. Bennett, who was signed in the offseason to complement Gronkowski in Belichick's famed two-tight end sets, reeled in four balls for 35 yards.
“I want to give a shoutout to my mom, too,” Gronkowski said. “First thing yesterday, we sat down, she came to my hotel, she goes, ‘Rob, I’m so proud of you when you score your 69th touchdown. So I got to give her a shoutout, for sure.”
