The Minnesota Vikings are primed to trade up for a quarterback. If they don’t trade up for one, they are still likely to select one regardless. While they need one, that doesn't mean they will draft a franchise quarterback. Not every quarterback is going to hit. That element is just a matter of probability. Rarely do more than two quarterbacks hit in an NFL draft cycle. When that does happen, it looks like the 2004 NFL draft.

As we inch closer to the NFL draft, we have spent a lot of time looking at why each of the six likely options for the Vikings at quarterback could succeed. What are the reasons why they might fail?
