Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian is "day-to-day" with the left shoulder injury he sustained Sunday against the Bucs, but coach Gary Kubiak said Monday he expects his starter "to be there Sunday" when the 3-1 Falcons visit 4-0 Denver.

"Our plans moving forward are for Trevor to be there Sunday and be ready to go, but he's day to day," Kubiak said on Denver Sports 760 (via DenverBroncos.com).

Siemian left Sunday's game at Tampa Bay in the second quarter after being slammed hard to the ground by the Bucs' Clinton McDonald. He said afterward he could've returned if needed and would be "ready to play" against the Falcons.

"I think I’m just going to take it one day at a time and see what (head trainer Steve Antonopulos) says tomorrow," Siemian said Sunday night.

After Siemian's injury, Kubiak opted to go with rookie backup Paxton Lynch in a 27-7 victory. Lynch completed 14 of 24 passes for 170 yards, leading three scoring drives, one that ended in his first career touchdown pass for 5 yards to Emmanuel Sanders.

"Pax went in there and handled himself well," Kubiak said. "I thought the players really helped him."

In four games, Siemian, a first-year starter, has completed 68 of 101 passes for 824 yards and six TDs with three interceptions.

The defending champion Broncos are the only remaining unbeaten team. The Falcons will be fresh off shredding the defending NFC champion Panthers, 48-33.
