Von Miller tests positive for COVID-19; Twitter takes more shots at Jay Glazer image

Broncos star pass-rusher Von Miller has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The news first came from Miller's agent, Joby Branion, to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport on Thursday. The Broncos later released a statement confirming Miller's test result. Miller told 9News' Mike Klis that he is "not feeling sick or hurting or anything like that." He is expected to comment further on Friday.

Miller is the second NFL player in as many days to be reported as having tested positive. The first was Rams center Brian Allen, whose test result was reported late Wednesday by Fox Sports' Jay Glazer.

Rapoport's presentation of the Miller story was immediately compared to Glazer's presentation of the Allen story, which drew sharp criticism on social media. The Glazer hate was still hot:

Glazer told "The Rich Eisen Show" earlier Thursday that the problem started when he teased the Allen story in an appearance on Fox Sports Radio late Tuesday. He was trying hard to sound serious because the on-air crew was joking around. That forcefulness, in turn, led to this tweet on show co-host Jason Smith's feed:

Glazer tried unsuccessfully Wednesday morning to turn down the heat the tweet generated. He reported the Allen story on TV on "Fox Football Now" about 24 hours after the Smith tweet.
