Eagles defensive end Vinny Curry has agreed to terms on a five-year, $47.25 million deal that runs through 2020, CSNPhilly.com reported, citing an unidentified league source.
Curry, 27, was set to become a free agent. The team will hold a press conference at noon ET Wednesday to announce the deal that guarantees Curry $23 million.

A second-round pick in 2012, Curry saw limited action in former coach Chip Kelly's 3-4 defense, but new coach Doug Pederson and defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz will run a 4-3 that the team clearly thinks suits Curry.
He had nine sacks in 2014 but only four in 2015 in limited time — barely a third of the Eagles' defensive snaps — yet still was second on the team in quarterback hurries with a career-high 21. He has 16.5 sacks in 52 games.
Curry's deal continues a move this offseason by the Eagles to lock up their young talent to long-term deals, Philly.com noted. Tight ends Zach Ertz and Brent Celek and offensive tackle Lane Johnson have signed new contracts. Ertz and Johnson are tied up through 2021; Curry will join center Jason Kelce and cornerback Byron Maxwell under contract through 2020.
