NFL mock drafts are coming out fast and furious now that we are in the month of April. The more information we get, the more things can both change or stay the same. The one thing that continues to fluctuate is what happens with the quarterbacks.

They could go off the board in multiple ways and to multiple teams, including with trade ups. NFL.com's Lace Zierlein released his latest mock draft with the top four quarterbacks going in the top four picks. However, the Minnesota Vikings get the fourth overall pick from the Arizona Cardinals and select Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

In the wake of the Giants vaulting into the No. 3 spot for a quarterback, the Vikings are still able to move up for a signal-caller of their own by giving the Cardinals Pick Nos. 11 and 23. McCarthy should pair nicely with Kevin O'Connell in Minnesota.

The interesting thing here is that the New York Giants traded up from the sixth overall pick to get North Carolina's Drake Maye. With Brian Daboll's success in helping develop Josh Allen, Maye makes a lot of sense. The Giants are also one of the teams with enough capital to outbid the Vikings, as they have two picks in the second round, something that could be more appealing than the 23rd overall pick when you look at moving down just three spots.

McCarthy is a great fit for the Vikings offense as he excels in throwing the ball over the middle and on the move. Is he ready to play right away? That's debatable, but with Sam Darnold in the fold, they don't have to worry about it.
