The USFL season has reached halftime.

Only five weeks remain before the playoffs kickoff, but the second half of the USFL season will bring something new to the field and screen — they are the only show in town. The XFL is over, the NFL offseason has begun to wind down, and college football is still months away.

No undefeated teams remain and most of the league is hovering around .500. A kicker — Philadelphia Stars' Luis Aguilar — made eight field goals last week en route to victory.

What will happen next?

Maulers (2-3) vs. Showboats (2-3)

  • Kickoff: 12:30 p.m. ET
  • TV Channel: USA
  • Live stream: Peacock, Fubo

Week 6 gets underway in Memphis with the hometown Showboats playing host to the Pittsburgh Maulers. Both teams sit at 2-3, but it's the Showboats that come in feeling good after knocking off the Breakers — handing them their first loss of the season. The Maulers also had a good day in Week 5, once again leaning on their defense, by taking out the Panthers and will have a chance to get back to .500, and first place in the division, with a win.

Stallions (3-2) vs. Panthers (2-3)

  • Kickoff: 4 p.m. ET
  • TV Channel: Fox
  • Live stream: Fox Sports App, FoxSports.com, Fubo

The late afternoon action of Week 6 is a matchup between two third-place teams. In terms of record, both teams are fairly evenly matched but one is not like the other. The Stallions are chasing the Breakers and Gamblers for a playoff spot in what is a South Division that puts points on the board. The Panthers have the opposite problem: They don't score enough. Will defense or offense prevail?

Breakers (4-1) vs. Stars (2-3)

  • Kickoff: 12 p.m. ET
  • TV Channel: FS1
  • Live stream: Fox Sports App, FoxSports.com, Fubo

Sunday kicks off with the league's best at Ford Field in Detroit. The Stars needed eight field goals to earn their second win of the season in Week 5, while the Breakers suffered a heartbreaker in a close loss to Memphis. Expect them to get back to their winning ways in Week 6.

Generals (2-3) vs. Gamblers (3-2)

  • Kickoff: 4 p.m. ET
  • TV Channel: Fox
  • Live stream: Fox Sports App, FoxSports.com, Fubo

Closing out the slate is the second-place Gamblers against the North Division-leading Generals. They fell victim to Aguilar's eight field goals and will now have to slow down a Gamblers attack that can put plenty of points on the board — winning last week with zero turnovers and penalties.
