The expected meeting between Tyreek Hill and the NFL will happen some time this week.
According to a report from Yahoo Sports, which cites unidentified league sources, the Chiefs wide receiver will meet with NFL investigators in Kansas City.
Hill had been the subject of an investigation following an alleged incident in March in which his 3-year-old son suffered a broken arm. Prosecutors said the probe is "not an active investigation," meaning he faces no charges, the Kansas City Star reported at the beginning of the month.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the league would not “interfere” with the matter until the investigation is over, Yahoo Sports noted.
The Chiefs announced they were suspending Hill "for the foreseeable future" in April after an audio recording surfaced of the incident. The team also said he "will not take part in any team activities."
Hill's upcoming meeting with the league could address his status for the upcoming season and, more timely, training camp that begins in late July.
He is expected to be joined by his legal team, according to Yahoo Sports.
