Chad Johnson made the rookie mistake of submitting his parenting skills to social media for all to see on Saturday, and boy, did that backfire spectacularly.
Johnson posted a text conversation with one of his daughters, captioning the tweet, "Parenting 101: kids don’t understand the sacrifices it takes." The text shows Johnson trying to extol the virtues of hard work, but, unfortunately for him, he also mentioned how that included "maintaining a 2.2 GPA while being a star athlete" in high school.

MORE: Who should Bengals pick in 2021 NFL Draft?
Look, a 2.2 GPA is fine. It falls somewhere within the 73-76 grade range and, as we all know, C's get degrees. And you don't need a 4.0 GPA with a degree in theoretical physics when your athletic ability can earn you generational wealth. Just ask the Bengals if they cared what Johnson's GPA was when they drafted him out of Oregon State. Better yet, ask Johnson about his high school GPA.
Still, it's probably not worth mentioning if you're trying to flex on your kid. And it's definitely not worth it when you post it on Twitter. Naturally, the social media platform had a time and a half trolling Johnson:
so maintaining a 2.2 gpa is impressive now? https://t.co/JIJATQRC1Q
