Tyler Lockett had a ... unique encounter with an Airbnb host.

Lockett was looking to use the popular online service that arranges homestays in an upcoming trip but one week before his scheduled stay, the host canceled Lockett's trip.

The Seahawks wide receiver recounted the story on Twitter, where he shared the host's reasoning for the last-minute cancellation. Lockett was "overqualified."

He went on to say the host advised him to spend his money on "high end houses" because of his "net worth."

Take a look at how exactly this went down:

Airbnb ultimately took care of the situation and got a shout-out from the Pro Bowl player at the end of the saga.

Lockett is coming off a career year in receptions (57), yards (965) and touchdowns (10). His performance earned him a three-year, $31.8 million contract extension that will keep him with the team through the 2021 season.

He will likely become a staple in Seattle's offense this upcoming season after veteran wideout Doug Baldwin announced his retirement.

Coach Pete Carroll praised the 26-year-old's leadership earlier in the month.

"His background, experience, success that he's had, he's naturally in that position right now," Carroll said, via the team's website. "I've seen a number of instances already where it's obvious that he gets it. You kind of grow into it, and he's doing that."
