Tony Romo was forced to scramble on the third play from scrimmage in Thursday night's preseason game in Seattle. The outcome was less than desirable.
The Cowboys quarterback was sacked by Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril after Romo tried to escape the pocket. Problem is, Romo had already started to slide as Avril hit him from behind. Romo's torso was thrust forward toward his legs, essentially bending him in half. He immediately reached at his lower back and writhed on the ground in pain, causing Cowboys fans everywhere to panic.

He came to the sideline following Thursday's sack, and was checked on by trainers. The injury appeared to be just a scare, as Romo was soon able to twist his back and throw without any apparent discomfort. He wanted to re-enter the game, but Cowboys coach Jason Garrett kept him out as a precaution.
Rookie backup Dak Prescott went in to relieve Romo, throwing a touchdown pass to Jason Witten on the next series to give the Cowboys a 7-0 first-quarter lead.
