There's an undercurrent of tension in Tom Brady's return season to the Buccaneers. The future first ballot Hall of Famer always seems seconds away from freaking out, and it's evident the team's struggles (and his own) are weighing on him.
Indeed, Brady and the Buccaneers need to win out to dodge the first losing season of Brady's career. All of that won't matter if they ultimately win the NFC South and make the playoffs, but between injuries and questionable coaching decisions, it's been a long season to this point in west Florida.
Look no further for evidence than Brady's sideline demeanor. Cameras are constantly focused in on him on the sideline when the Bucs are struggling-- It's almost a given he's going to yell at someone or slam a tablet at some point. His frustration has bubbled over numerous times, and early in the season his disdain toward tablets led to the league issuing a memo about throwing them.
Brady has mostly taken to yelling at teammates, for better or worse. What has been nearly a weekly occurrence has also been a source of great entertainment for fans.
It's worth mentioning that Tom Brady yelling at you is "nothing personal," according to Tom Brady.

With that, here's a look at some of Brady's freak-outs over the season.
Week 2 vs. Saints: Brady throws a tablet
Brady's history against the Saints has not been great since he joined the Buccaneers. Those struggles continued early this year, as the Saints held the Buccaneers scoreless in the first half of their Week 2 matchup.
It didn't take a lot of time in the second half before Brady hit a boiling point. He was seen yelling at his teammates and tossing a tablet in frustration.

The Buccaneers ended up winning, and Brady tried to get ahead of the jokes.
"Sorry for breaking that tablet, I think that's gonna be another Twitter meme or something like that," Brady said in a video after the game.
He did not beat the jokes.
Week 6 vs. Steelers: Brady yells at his offensive line
After coming off a win against the Falcons, Brady and the Buccaneers were largely stifled against the Steelers. Pittsburgh gave up just six points in the first half, and Brady was displeased with his line.
Just before the half, Brady was seen chewing out his offensive line. Once again, the Buccaneers did come back and win, but it took some doing to get there.
Once again, Brady had something to say about it, including the way cameras capture him this year.

“I do think that it’s a bad day when there are more F-bombs than touchdowns,” Brady said on his podcast. “They used to kind of keep from showing you in those moments. But now, it’s kind of for the world to see. That’s just the way it is.”
Week 13 vs. Saints: Brady curses on sidelines
Brady made it through November without incident, but his frustration cropped up again against his nemesis: The Saints.
Brady was in the middle of another bad game against New Orleans, and he could be seen white knuckling his tablet and yelling.

The Buccaneers again, of course, came back and won in dramatic fashion, making them 3-0 in Brady tantrum games at the time.
Week 14 vs. 49ers: Brady is full mad going into the half
That undefeated record didn't last.
In Brady's return to San Francisco in Week 14, the 49ers completely shut down the Bucs. Brady was, well, displeased.

The 49ers went on to win this game 35-7, but Brady was a good sport after the game. He even signed a ball for 49ers quarterback Dre Greenlaw.
Brady's frustration this year isn't completely unreasonable, and he's been doing it since before this season. Tablets have been shuddering in fear of Brady's wrath since far before 2022, and Brady was admonished for it last season as well.
The Buccaneers still have a good shot of making the playoffs, as the NFC South has been a disaster all year. However, if the Bucs' struggles continue down the stretch this year, we may well see another freak-out before year's end.
