While attending the Spring Meetings in Nashville on Wednesday, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell provided an update on Tom Brady's bid to own a piece of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Goodell told reporters that "progress is being made" on Brady's ownership bid, but issues remain in the approval process. Goodell did not go into specifics about what the issues are, though.
According to a report from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero during an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, the holdup for the vote and approval of Brady's ownership stake has to do with the fact that the NFL legend will be in the broadcast booth for league games with FOX in 2024 and beyond.

Goodell also said, of a potential 18-game season, there isn’t a current conversation, but…
"There are some teams, I've talked to them, that are vehemently opposed to Tom Brady being an equity partner, being a part owner of a team and broadcasting games," Pelissero said. "They simply don't want to have it, they're not going to let him into production meetings, they don't want somebody on talking about their team who's owner of another team."
It was thought that a vote on Brady's bid for an ownership stake could go down in Nashville this week, but The Washington Post's Mark Maske reported that the vote isn't expected to happen.
