Tom Brady is preparing to become a free agent for the first time in his career — and his upcoming decision has everyone guessing.
As transcribed by ESPN’s Mike Reiss, SiriusXM NFL Radio co-host Charlie Weis said last week that the 42-year-old quarterback texted him with an update about his free agency and future.
“I do have one bit of scoop for us. I’ve been texting with Tommy,” said Weis, who served as Brady’s offensive coordinator in New England. “I don’t [usually] pass along these conversations, but one thing he told me — ‘Nobody knows anything. So anyone who is telling you they know, they don’t know.’ I’m not going through any other part of the conversation [but] I followed up and he said, ‘Clean it up.’ So I’m cleaning it up.”

Brady has been having fun with the mystery surrounding his free agency, including an on-camera interaction with Julian Edelman at North Carolina's game against Syracuse last week. Edelman appeared to tell the TV camera that the NFL star would return to New England and moments later, Brady appeared to say, "he's not."

He finished the commercial by saying, "Me? I'm not going anywhere," leading some to speculate he's staying with the Patriots.
But we've learned at this point, anything he says about his free agency can't be trusted — we'll all just have to wait and see what he decides.
