Disrespect for the Tennessee Titans and their players is nothing new. In fact, it has become an annual tradition at this point. Knowing that, it comes as no surprise that FOX Sports' Colin Cowherd had a silly take on quarterback Will Levis.
During a recent episode of his show, Cowherd made the proclamation that Tennessee product and New England Patriots quarterback Joe Milton might be better than Levis.
"Some of you are selling me Will Levis," Cowherd said. "I'm not sure Will Levis is better than Joe Milton. Didn't Will Levis lose to Vanderbilt?"
Milton, who has the very definition of a cannon for an arm, has created buzz in recent days after reportedly outplaying fellow rookie and No. 3 overall pick, Drake Maye, in practice. That has, of course, led to crazy overreactions just like Cowherd's.
“I wrote after last Thursday’s practice that Milton is the ‘wow’ quarterback at camp — the guy with the best size, best athleticism, and biggest arm,” The Boston Globe's Ben Volin wrote.
“Now I’ll take it a step further: Milton outplayed Maye over the first six practices of camp. You can’t tell which player is the No. 3 overall pick (Maye) and which is the sixth-round flier (Milton).”
Cowherd has a whole segment on Joe Milton vs Drake Maye at QB if Brissett goes down or is benched by the Patriots. He previously had the hot take that Milton would be the starter in that scenario.

But then has this take: Milton > Levis
Sure to rile up Titans fans https://t.co/mrMHqdXH5D pic.twitter.com/I1QwntcfY7
While Milton may very well end up being better than Maye and/or Levis, the fact of the matter is he still hasn't taken a single snap in the NFL. Saying he might be better than Levis, who has actually had some success during his brief stint in the league, is silly, at best.
Further, citing a loss against Vanderbilt in college makes Cowherd's statement even sillier. Let's get Milton on an NFL field before making statements about who he may be better than.
