St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford appears to be done for the year. He reportedly has a torn ACL.

He was hit by Mike Mitchell while going out of bounds and had to be helped to his feet before he was carted off into the locker room.

The Panthers made it worse, though, when Mitchell taunted the Rams on the sideline where Bradford lay injured.

Rams’ offensive lineman Harvey Dahl came over and grabbed Mitchell, and the Rams ended up with the penalty.

It was a horrible turn for the Rams, who were already losing 30-15 in the fourth quarter. Bradford left the game having completed 21 of 30 passes for 255 yards and one touchdown.

TEXANS’ CUSHING OUT FOR THE YEAR

The Houston Texans lost running back Arian Foster early in the first quarter of their game in Kansas City Sunday, then saw linebacker Brian Cushing taken off the field on a cart in the third quarter.

Cushing has a broken leg and a torn LCL, NFL.com reported.

He was hurt late in the third quarter as he was blocked at the line by the Chiefs’ Jamaal Charles on a swing pass to the right side. He lay on the field in pain, grabbing his left knee, and was unable to put weight on the knee as he was helped to the cart.

Cushing tore the ACL in the same knee in October of last year and missed the rest of the season, but returned to play late in this preseason and has not missed a regular-season game so far. He reportedly has not re-injured the ACL.

Foster injured his hamstring on the Texans’ first possession of the game, on his fourth carry, during a drive that ended in a field goal. Foster, who had struggled with hamstring, thumb and chest injuries all week in practice, did not return

FINLEY CARTED OFF

The Green Bay Packers were already playing without two wide receivers, Randall Cobb (leg) and James Jones (knee), in Sunday's Week 7 home game vs. Cleveland. Now they need to hold their breath on the health of another key pass-catcher, tight end Jermichael Finley.

Finley, who scored the Packers' opening TD from Aaron Rodgers in the first quarter, took a blow to the head when making a reception with 10:22 left in the fourth quarter. He collided with Browns safety David Gibson while going to the ground, injuring his neck.

The helmet-to-helmet hit had bad enough effects for Finley to be carted off the field in a stretcher. He waved his hand when being taken away, showing movement in his extremities.

CUTLER HURTS GROIN

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was knocked out of Sunday's Week 7 game at Washington five minutes into the second quarter. With his Bears trailing 17-10, Cutler favored his left side with a groin injury after being sacked by the Redskins' Chris Baker.

He did not return.

Cutler was down on the ground for a while before getting up gingerly. He was escorted to the Bears' locker room and replaced by backup Josh McCown. Coach Marc Trestman said the severity of the injury is unknown right now, but Cutler will have an MRI on Monday.

The Redskins had made it rough for Cutler when he was in the game. He was 3-of-8 for just 28 yards, and saw Brian Orakpo return his interception for a touchdown as the ball deflected off wide receiver Alshon Jeffery.

The Bears are expected to have an update on Cutler's status for the rest of the game shortly, but it looks like they will need to roll with McCown as they attempt to make a comeback.

EAGLES DOWN TO QB NO. 3

The Philadelphia Eagles are down two quarterbacks. Second-year man Nick Foles left Sunday’s Week 7 home game against Dallas at the end of the third quarter after taking a hard hit on a sack by the Cowboys. While the Eagles settled for a field goal for their first points of the game, Foles needed to be evaluated for a head injury.

Foles was making his second consecutive start in place of Michael Vick, who was inactive with a hamstring injury. With the Eagles down 17-3 almost six minutes into the fourth quarter, they had to turn to rookie third-stringer Matt Barkley under center.

The Cowboys defense made it a rough afternoon on Foles (11-for-29, only 80 yards passing, three sacks, 25 rushing yards) in the game after he was named NFC offensive player of the week for his stellar performance in the Week 6 win at Tampa Bay.

Barkley is a fourth-round pick from Southern California. He was in the Eagles' QB competition early for Chip Kelly until it became just Vick vs. Foles. The Eagles are hoping they won't need to go with their greenest passer going forward for more than the end vs. the Cowboys.

COLTS' WAYNE GOES DOWN

On a night when the Indianapolis Colts welcomed back Peyton Manning, they saw one of his old favorite wide receivers go down at a critical spot. With the Colts trying to protect a 36-30 fourth-quarter lead against Manning's Broncos', Reggie Wayne suffered a right knee injury while attempting to catch a third-and-one pass from Andrew Luck.

Wayne was down on the Lucas Oil Stadium turf for a few minutes before being helped off the field. The injury occured with 7:15 left in the game, and he was seen walking to the Colts' locker room minutes later. NBC Sports reported the team is calling it a sprain that would prevent Wayne from returning to the game.

Throughout his future Hall of Fame career, Wayne has been very durable. Sunday night marked his 184th consecutive regular-season game played.

NOT AGAIN

Broncos’ cornerback Champ Bailey was just making his way back and now he could be done again—maybe for a while.

Bailey re-injured the foot that kept him the entire preseason and all but one game so far this year. He was involved in a tackle on Sunday against the Colts when he pulled away, hopping on one foot.

MARTIN INJURES SHOULDER

The Buccaneers lost running back Doug Martin to a shoulder injury in the 31-23 loss the Falcons Sunday. Martin had 11 carries for 47 yards before leaving.
