The Texans are the 2015 AFC South champions and clinched the division even before their 30-6 win over the Jaguars went final.
The Saints' 20-17 win over the Falcons sealed the division title for the Texans by way of a strength-of-schedule tiebreaker over the Colts.

It was another dominant effort for the Texans (9-7), who closed the season with three straight victories in the division. The Texans did not give up more than 10 points in any of the three wins over the Colts, Titans and Jaguars. The Texans are the No. 4 seed in the AFC playoffs and will host a playoff game next weekend.
The Colts (8-8) closed their season with a 30-24 win over the Titans (3-13), who sealed up the first pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. The Colts saw their run of consecutive division championships (two straight since 2013) come to an end. The AFC South crown is Houston's third-ever division title and first since 2012.
They rolled over the Jaguars by harassing Jacksonville quarterback Blake Bortles, who was sacked seven times. Houston's J.J. Watt had three of the sacks for an NFL-best 17 1/2 on the year, but Texans linebacker Whitney Mercilus added 3 1/2 sacks on Sunday. The Texans also forced Bortles into two interceptions to give him an NFL-high 18 on the season.
