For Texans and Jaguars fans in Houston and Jacksonville, finding the TV channel for Sunday morning's game in London will be easy, as local broadcasts in those markets are available. Those in the rest of the TV markets around the country will find the game, scheduled to kick off at 9:30 a.m. ET from London's Wembley Stadium, on NFL Network.
The game is the second matchup of the season between these AFC South rivals, and based on the spread (via Sportsbook Review), it's expected to be just as tight as it was in September, when the Texans edged the Jaguars by one point. The line on the Week 9 game is 1 1/2 in favor of Houston.
Much of the chatter around Texans vs. Jaguars involves the quarterbacks, as it should. Houston's Deshaun Watson is the first player in NFL history to have 15-plus passing TDs (16) and 5-plus rushing TDs (5) through his team’s first eight games. Jacksonville's Gardner Minshew leads all rookies with 13 passing TDs and a 98.8 rating. But there are good stories around the QBs, too.
WEEK 9 NFL PICKS:
Against the spread | Straight-up predictions
Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins recently became the third youngest player with 8,000 career receiving yards in NFL history. As for the Jaguars, a pair of their players lead the AFC in both rushing and receiving. Running back Leonard Fournette leads the AFC with 791 rushing yards, while wide receiver D.J. Chark leads the conference with 660 receiving yards.
Fournette and Chark could become the first pair of teammates to lead either conference in both rushing and receiving through the first nine weeks of a season since Philadelphia Eagles teammates LeSean McCoy (777 yards) and DeSean Jackson (823 yards) led the NFC in rushing and receiving through Week 9 in 2013.
