The NFL coaching carousal usually generates a few rumors as "Black Monday" approaches, but Fox Sports' Jay Glazer threw out an interesting tidbit Sunday ahead of Week 17.
The Texans and coach Bill O'Brien could "mutually" part ways should the team lose early in the playoffs, according to the report.

O'Brien seemingly has done nothing wrong in Houston, as he led the Texans to the playoffs this season despite enduring Brock Osweiler's horrific performances at quarterback.
Glazer's report did not mention whether Houston already has a potential replacement lined up.
It's possible Houston brass is pressuring O'Brien to start Osweiler, who signed a four-year, $72 million contract this offseason. O'Brien recently made the move to start Tom Savage, who is making significantly less money yet has proven to be much more reliable.

Should O'Brien shockingly find himself on the open market, he likely won't have any problems finding a new job.
