The Detroit Lions saw two rookie cornerbacks come down with injuries during the practice on Monday in first-round pick Terrion Arnold and second-round pick Ennis Rakestraw Jr.
But it would appear the Lions have dodged a bullet with both. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Arnold suffered an unspecified pectoral injury that isn't considered serious. He is not expected to miss time to start the regular season.
We didn't get a report on Rakestraw Jr., but did get word from the man himself that he's doing OK. The Missouri product took to Instagram live (H/T Jeremy Reisman, Pride of Detroit) on Tuesday and told those watching that "we are perfectly fine."
Worth noting that Ennis Rakestraw was just on Instagram Live and said “we are perfectly fine.”

We would assume that is in reference to at least he and Arnold, although he could be talking about running back Jahmyr Gibbs also after he came down with a hamstring injury at the same practice.
Adding to the updates from Rapoport and Rakestraw Jr., head coach Dan Campbell revealed on Wednesday morning that he thinks all three players are going to be OK, according to Kyle Meinke of MLive.com.

This is obviously huge news for the Lions, as Arnold and Rakestraw are both set to play important roles in their first season.
Arnold is projected to start on the boundary opposite Carlton Davis, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, and Rakestraw will, at the very least, serve as a top backup, but he may also see time in the slot.
Both Arnold and Rakestraw have had a strong training camp and played well in their respective preseason debuts. The young cornerbacks look primed to make an impact in Year 1.
